This year, Dream Big Composites has been shortlisted in the Innovation in Manufacture category. For a young company like ours, recognition from the UK’s composites trade body is both humbling and energising.
It’s been over two years of hard work to reach this stage. From our initial prototype which was a very Heath-Robinson 3d printed box fill of wires, to winning the Royal Academy of Engineering Regional Talent Engine Award to devices now being tested in real manufacturing environments, our journey has always been driven by a single mission: help composite manufacturers cut scrap and improve reliability without needing costly bespoke systems.
Too often, the tools for monitoring and managing composite processes are locked away behind high budgets and custom one-off projects. We believe that every manufacturer, not just the biggest players, should have access to clear data and real-time process control.
The impact matters:
